Antibiotics, Prednisone and Tylenol oh my

Ok we have way to many medications going on around here. I got to see first hand how it looks to see someone on predisone in an eating frenzy. My sweet 2 1/2 year old has been on prednisone for 3 weeks and it is catching up with her. She has been eating non stop all day. She now seems to be coming down with what J has. Her nose is running and she has diarrhea. I decided that the need for benadryl outweighed the side effects. Benadryl makes her agitated and act like the energizer bunny. It was so frustrating to see her eating everything in sight then when she ran out of food she ran to the table and started crying and franticly signing more. I gave her some chips and made a grilled cheese. OMG it was horrible. She is now tucked soundly in her bed. That is the place where she can reorganize herself. I knwo she is exhausted as she has not napped. J saw 2 doctors yesterday. I took him to clinic where they sent us home with instructions to keep tylenol going and make sure he was drinking. He has been running a temperature for 48 hours now it ranges from 104 to 100 with both tylenol and Ibuprohen going. I took him to the emergency rrom last night as his temperature was not going down. He does not have strep but does have tonsilitis and double ear infections. Sleep has been elusive for 2 days with 2 of them waking up frequently crying. J's throat is really hurting him but the headache seems to be better. The popscile therapy seems to help some. The other 2 have remained healthy thus far and have been very helpful. They are such good kids. I am exhausted but got some good news today and will work on that project. The snow is almost gone we got about 6 inches wiht this last round. I thought with the onset of spring that we had avoided the cold and flu season but alas down we go. We were blessed with avoiding most of the crud this winter. Ok enough rambling Praying for fast healing so we can enjoy Easter services.
God Bless!
