Well we made another hospital tour of duty, maybe we should rent a room for the month...lol. This was a planned stay. We are trying IVIG therapy for B's seizure disorder. She did so good when they put the IV in barely a whimper, but for one time they listened to me and let me hold her while they did it. I was determined it was going to be better for her this time. She tolerated the infusions fairly well, she had some vomiting this morning...Yuck! Then she did ok with the 2nd infusion and threw up 2 times on the way home. You try finding a place to pull over fast at the 494/169 intersection in 5:00 rush hour traffic. I think I should get a gold medal for that one...lol. We are now home safe and sound she is asleep in the pack-N-play so I can watch her tonight. She is now running a fever. It may be a viral infection, but could be a side effect of the IVIG. We will not know the effectiveness until next week. I am excited that this therapy is available to us and we have such good health care resources. I am thankful as well that the Lord has blessed me with the medical skills to care for children with these issues. I am anxiously waiting for the "T" word for our more later. I first heard the "m" word on 2/18, I knew of them in January. It is so very hard waiting. This is very frustrating, knowing that they are their and that God is bringing us together, yet waiting for the red tape to be cut. I know it is His time and not mine. I do struggle with patience....lol. Trusting that the Lord will unravel all the red tape soon and that this is the "magic bullet" for B. I can not wait for the summer adjustments and family time.
